Chronos, o titã do tempo No inicio de tudo Chronos era o rei do mundo, ele era basicamente o cara que comandava todo o planeta naquela epoca. Porém ele viu um profecia que dizia que seu filho iria derrubar ele do trono e iria tomar o seu lugar. Reia estava sofrendo com isso pois ver seus filhos sendo devorados pelo Pai é algo perturbador, então Reia depois de ter visto Hades e Poseidon sendo devorados por Chronos decidiu esconder Zeus e troca ele por uma pedra. Reia deixa que uma águia leve Zeus para Gaia, o titã da terra cuidar de Zeus, para então quando ele estiver crescido poder derrotar seu pai. Assim aconteceu, Zeus derrotou seu pai e trouxe de volta seus irmão, acabando com a guerra contra os titãs chamada de titanomaquia, e punindo os titãs depois de sua vitória. Zeus puniu Chronos colocando ele para vagar pelo deserto das almas perdidas e carregar o templo de Pandora nas costas, o lugar que guardaria a caixa de Pandora. Agora nós voltamos para Kratos indo em direção a Chronos para achar o templo. O templo de pandora Kratos vaga pelo deserto das almas perdidas e acha Chronos e então escala o templo por 3 dias seguidos. O fantasma de Esparta entra no templo e logo na entrada ele encontra um homem velho cavando uma cova. O Espartano então vai em direção a entrada do templo com a caixa em mãos, no caso ele esta empurrando a caixa até a saída porém contudo todavia o pior aconteceu. Ares percebe que Kratos tinha pego a caixa e sabia que se Kratos abrisse a caixa e conseguisse o poder dela, ele poderia derrotar o Deus da guerra. Ares então sem pensar duas vezes lança uma estaca de pedra bem na direção onde Kratos esta… exatamente ele lançou uma estaca de pedra de Atena para o deserto das almas perdidas. Kratos é empalado pela pedra e antes de morrer ele vê as harpias de Ares levando a Caixa para o Deus da guerra. O submundo Obviamente que Kratos não ia desistir assim, então ele tenta fugir do rio estige que é o rio dos mortos. Kratos consegue subir de volta com ajuda de uma corda que vindo lá de cima, quando ele subiu ele viu aquele homem velho que estava fazendo a tal “cova” para kratos. Então Kratos lança um dos poderes que ele recebeu de Zeus para quebrar a corrente que esta agarrada a Ares e prendia a caixa.
